What does the rental price include?
Linens, towels, bath robes, toiletries, kitchen consumables - dishwasher tablets, foil, cling film, kitchen rolls etc., are provided along with a welcome hamper of provisions. The hamper includes tea, coffee, milk, sugar, fruit juice, bread and butter, cereal, marmalade, eggs and fresh fruit.
What time can I arrive?
Any time after 3.30 p.m.
What time do we need to leave?
Guests are asked to vacate their cottage by 10.30 a.m. to allow a high standard of servicing for following guests.
We would like to bring two dogs is that possible as your website says one dog welcome?
We do welcome two dogs to Grosvenor so please contact us to discuss. We plan not to have more than two visiting dogs at one time and two of our cottages welcome pets. We are dog lovers and have a Labrador.
Which supermarkets deliver?
Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tesco and Asda. Our local village shop in Lea also delivers.
Are you able to accommodate vegetarians/vegans?
Absolutely and we adjust our welcome hamper accordingly.
Are there any pubs in walking distance?
There are three pubs about a mile away in different directions, the Crown Inn in Lea being the closest. Guests should be made aware that it is very dark in the area at night and there are no street lamps ie. not easy walking in the dark. On a positive note there is very little light pollution and black skies are a bonus.
Do you provide a cot and highchair?
We have a travel cot and highchair available at no extra cost. It is a great area for children to explore. On the doorstep we have a spacious park, usually with grazing sheep.
Is it possible to recommend restaurants?
We are only happy to help with ideas and advice, it is important to us that you have an enjoyable experience with the opportunity to sample some delicious local produce.
May we use the gardens, Orangery and parkland?
Absolutely, we encourage guests enjoy the open space, peaceful surroundings and well stocked gardens.
Is there a hairdryer in our cottage?
There is a hairdryer in every bedroom. In Elgar cottage the hairdryer is in the bathroom.
Will there be lots to do in the area?
Ask our regular guests who are still discovering new places to visit and things to do even after many previous visits.
Have you somewhere to store our bikes?
We have a bike storage shed that is padlocked.
Is there easy level parking?
At Wharton Lodge we have easy, allocated level parking.
Do you have a laundry room?
We have a laundry room available 24/7 with Miele washing machine and tumble dryer.
Is there an EV Charger onsite?
We have an EV Charger for guests (supplement applies). Guests with an EV or plug-in Hybrid are advised to pre-book the Charger so that a suitable parking space will be allocated to them during their stay.
